Leslie Harrell Dillen is an award-winning actor, solo performer and playwright. As an actor she has appeared in theatre, television and film, in New York, Los Angeles, and Boston as well as in San Francisco at the Magic Theatre, The Eureka Theatre, and The American Conservatory under William Ball.

Leslie has performed her solo plays on stages throughout the U.S. and at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland. Her solo play, Me & George won the playwrights award from The Massachusetts Cultural Council and was named Boston's "Best One Woman Show of the Year". USA Today described it as, "a poignant, hilarious glimpse into both a personal and civic psyche." The London Times and Daily Record listed it as Pick of the Week and The Scotsman described it in a rave as "witty and poignant. Highly watchable."

The Passions Of Mabel Dodge Luhan developed through research of Luhan's papers at Yale and directed by Edward Hastings, former Artistic Director of the American Conservatory Theatre. "Accomplished, gratifying and emtionally engaging." The New Mexican.

As a playwright, Leslie has been produced in New York, Boston, Spokane, Oklahoma, and California. Her full-length play, Death Quilt, directed by Oskar Eustis, was workshopped at The Sundance Institute. Most recently her one-act plays Brain Surgery, Montana Shots, Love Is The Law were performed at the Boston Theatre Marathon.

Leslie's teaching credits include: Intro to Playwriting at M.I.T. in Cambridge, Acting at The American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco, Speech and Voice at Circle and the Square in New York, and Acting and Playwriting to both high school students and teachers at the Oklahoma Arts Institute.

Leslie trained with Sanford Meisner at The Neighborhood Playhouse in New York, at The American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco, and recently received her Masters in Creative Writing from Boston University. Leslie is also a graduate of the four year program of Theological Education for Ministry from The University of the South.

A sixth generation Oklahoman partly of Chickasaw and Cherokee descent, Leslie's married to the author Frederick G. Dillen and lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
